I spend a ton of time in Photoshop editing images and of course cruising the web to see what others have done with their work. One of the great ways to learn how be creative in Photoshop is to “reverse engineer” other peoples work and I don’t mean by stealing it either. There are a lot of talented people that create .psd templates and give them away for non commercial use. You can go into each layer and and see what elements they added to create the template. Removing or adding your own work into these files can be a fun way to experiment with your own creativity. There are thousands of these types of files on the web, but be wary of those that have download links to companies like hotfile.com or are in a .rar format. They are usually pirated copies of someone else’s work.
Also keep in mind that these should be used for non commercial purposes.
The .psd’s below are linked from Deviantart.com, which is a great website for creatives.
The first few images are from Alexander Gillis. Check out his website for some fantastic work.
Not sure what else to call this, so fantasy seems appropriate. I can picture things like flying cats and dogs with a tornado thrown into this template. I think this one has a lot of latitude to work with.
Awesome collection, which contain more than +100 elements for website design. Full PSD layered file, most of files are fully editable.
Not only includes the .psd file, but also has a tutorial on how to create the “Liquid Creature”
This is probably the best ID Template file I have run across. Download also includes the font files.
The linked file below allows you to make some cool changes instantly on a portrait image. Just drag a photo of yours to the background layer and then toggle each option like Vibrance, Curves, Color Balance etc. A much quicker way than using the menu choices in Photoshop.
