Roland Fisher - Screams of Angels
I always like to shoot opening bands for a show, you never know when you’re gonna hear some really great music and rock some photos at the same time. Screams of Angels was a nice surprise, opening for Lynch Mob at Studio Seven. Jeffery McCormack on vocals was spot on during their set. A few times I took my camera away from my eye and just listened to these guys. My only regret is not grabbing a CD after the show, at $5 it was a helluva bargain. I’ll watch for these guys schedule on their Facebook page.
On a technical note, most of these images were shot with a $120 Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens. This is starting to be my go to lens when I want good rock portraits.

So my girlfriend Tracy asks, didn’t you shoot these guys at Randy Piper’s W.A.S. show… damned if I didn’t and not ever got around to editing them. Here’s a few from the Were Angels Suffer show.
